Rubber Duckie

Rubber Duckie

Words and Music by J. Moss.
Arranged by A. Kwok.

Have you heard this cute little song before? It first appeared on Sesame Street in 1970 sung by the beloved Muppet character Ernie. He sings about his bathtub toy,
a rubber duck, which he affectionately names Rubber Duckie.
Using simple and playful lyrics, Ernie sings about how much he loves his rubber duck and how much fun they have in the water.
It was so popular they released it on a vinyl single, which peaked at number 10 in Australia and quickly became one of the signature songs of Sesame Street.
Our good friend Annie Kwok first arranged a funky jazz version for a choir of secondary boys, and now she has arranged it for us - what fun!

Channel your inner child and sing Rubber Duckie with heaps of cheeky personality. Why don’t we surprise the audience and tune up some kazoos for the Interlude!
