Choreography Leaders support the conductor in front of the massed choir for songs that include choreography and Auslan Signing. These students need to be confident, precise and reliable.

The Choreography Leaders must know the TEACHER VERSION of the movement as they stand in front of the choir and lead them for these songs:

Choreography Leaders stand in front of the massed choir and lead the songs with choreography. This year’s choreography songs are:
Sing,
Shades and
Advance Australia Fair with Auslan signing.

We are looking for students:

with precise, strong and artistic movements
that can confidently sing with expression and model a great singing face to match the feel of the song.

Pre Audition Choreography Workshop - NOW Open

Students who are thinking of auditioning to be a Choreography Leader are encouraged to attend the Pre-Audition Workshop. This is not a pre-requisite of auditioning, however, it will give students information about how to present themselves at the audition.
The aim of this workshop: students will be taught some of the choreography and the Auslan signing, and how to access the vision to rehearse with. Clear expectations will be given about what is required for the audition.

Choir teachers or families can book students in to the Pre-Audition Workshop.
Bookings are capped at 50 students.
Wednesday 3 June (Term 2, Week 6) at PSMF Office, 28 Hay Street, Klemzig - 4:15pm - 5:45pm.

Choreography Leaders Audition - - OPENING SOON

Tuesday 16 June from 4:15pm - 6:00pm at PSMF Office, 28 Hay Street, Klemzig

Digital auditions available by negotiation DUE Monday 15 June (Term 2, Week 8)

Please ensure the paper nomination form is completed and handed in at the time of audition. This form should have been received from the Choir Teacher.

Successful students to attend compulsory workshop (Term 3, Week 2) with Robyn and Cathy, at Klemzig Wednesday 29 July (Term 3, Week 2) 4:15pm – 6:00pm

Students must attend off site rehearsal (Term 3, week 5) at the THEATRE of the Adelaide Entertainment Centre, and the ARENA Adelaide Entertainment Centre for the concert day rehearsal and performance (Term 3, week 9)

(N.B. These SHOULD be the same day as your school choir rehearsal and concert, unless required at other concerts.)
