Come Together

Come Together

Words and Music by M. Firth, I. Firebrace, G. Porter, L. Kernaghan, C. Buchanan, N. Wolfe.
Arranged by M. Puddy.

Come Together is a song encouraging us to work together for a better future.
Eurovision 2017 Grand Finalist Isaiah Firebrace, Australia Decides’ 2020 artist Mitch Tambo and Australian country singer Lee Kernaghan helped write this song, along with Colin Buchanan, Garth Porter and Nicholas Wolfe.
The collaboration between the artists created a song to promote unity, inclusivity and respect between ALL Australians.
Isaiah, Mitch and Colin performed it at the 2023 Australian Open’s First Nations Day.
Verse 3 is in Gamilaraay, (also spelled Kamilaroi) language. Translated the words mean: ~Sing for healing ~ Sing for rain ~ Sing for good ~ Sing for a new day
In 2022, Isaiah released a story book called – you guessed it, ‘Come Together’. He wrote this book after contacting the Prime Minister to recommend that Aboriginal history should be taught in every classroom.
The Wurundjeri people, from the Yarra Valley region of Melbourne Victoria, believe an ancestral Wedge-tailed Eagle called ‘Bunjil’ created the land. Hear it in the song ... “On the wings of mighty Bunjil we will rise”.
Sing the song, tell the story of this land, everybody come together.” Let’s all work towards a united Australia!

This song will have incredible power if we truly believe this message and sing out strongly!
